About Oradell, NJ Real Estate Market

Located in Bergen County in New Jersey state, Oradell is a borough formed during the Boroughitis phenomenon in Bergen County in 1894. This suburb of New York City was made by including the portions of Harrington Township, Midland Township and Palisades Township. Home to around 8,000 people, Oradell has a dam on the Hackensack River, which serves as a prime construction part of the Oradell Reservoir.

Before 1920, the town was named Delford, taking in parts from the names of Oradell and New Milford, the two communities of Bergen County. In 1920, based on the results of a referendum, the name of the town changed to Oradell. It is one of the best places to live in New Jersey, with several big-sized homes for sale in this part of New Jersey.

Spread over an area of 2.57 square miles, Oradell is bordered by other boroughs like Haworth, New Milford, Dumont, Emerson, River Edge and Paramus. Having a humid subtropical climate, Oradell is home to the headquarters of Huntington Learning Center and several other places of interest, such as the Atwood-Blauvelt mansion, New Milford Plant of the Hackensack Water Company, Memorial Field, Doug Parcells Athletic Complex and Little Firehouse Theater. The Oradell Reservoir is a chief source of water supply in the borough.
