About Northvale, NJ Real Estate Market

Located in the northeastern part of Bergen County in New Jersey state, Northvale is a small-sized and low-populated borough. Deriving its name from the location and topography, the borough of Northvale was formed in 1916. The borough was created after some portions of Harrington Township were joined after the results of a referendum came out in the same year. The Harrington Township got dissolved after the creation of the borough of Northvale.

Northvale is currently home to around 5,000 people, who are living in this small borough which is spread over an area of 1.27 square miles. The borough of Northvale shares its borders with Rockleigh, Norwood and Old Tappan from Bergen County and Tappan from Rockland County.

Northvale doesn’t have many natural places of interest but is a small town with small-sized houses, preferred mostly by distant working professionals and retired people. The borough of Northvale is home to Northvale Square Shopping Center on Livingston Street, which houses brands like GameStop, CVS Pharmacy, Applebee’s, Panera Bread and Moe’s Southwest Grill.
