About Park Ridge, NJ Real Estate Market

One of the 26 boroughs formed during the Boroughitis phenomenon in 1894, Park Ridge is a small borough in Bergen County in New Jersey state, spanning an area of 2.63 square miles. The borough, which currently is home to around 9,000 people, was created by including the portions of River Vale, Woodcliff Park, Hillsdale and Washington Township. The inspiration behind the borough’s name lies behind its location.

Park Ridge has several places included in the National Register of Historic Places, like John G. Ackerson House, Park Ridge Station, Isaac Debaun House, Wortendyke Barn, Peter D. Perry House and Frederick Wortendyke House. In addition to these, the borough also has Park Ridge’s Pascack Historical Society Museum, which has the world’s only wampum drilling machine.

Situated in the Pascack Valley region in Bergen County, Park Ridge is surrounded by other boroughs of Bergen County, such as River Vale, Hillsdale, Woodcliff Lake and Montvale. Apart from small-sized homes, Park Ridge also has a luxury gated community, called The Bear’s Nest. It has several townhouse-style homes as a part of Bergen County real estate, having various luxury amenities, such as a swimming pool, tennis courts and floral park, to offer. In addition to this, Park Ridge has served as the headquarters of The Hertz Corporation, America’s largest car rental company.
